AUGUST MONTHLY MEETING – DEFENDING CHOICE
Our August 16th meeting features two speakers: Ana Babitsky – Warren County Co-Chair of Action Together NJ and volunteer at Planned Parenthood, and Dr. Rita Sergonis, a pediatrician who has 12 years of experience caring for hospitalized patients that range from newborn to adolescents.
Come hear what is at stake this election, what we can do to take action and real-life stories of how individual lives depend on reproductive freedoms.
Join us in-person at the Mount Olive Library, 202 Flanders-Drakestown Road, Flanders or on Zoom Tuesday, August 16th, 6:30-7:45. Join us at 6:00 for informal gathering at the library. All Democrats and invited guests are welcome.

ANNA BABITSKY – WARREN COUNTY CO-CHAIR ACTION TOGETHER NEW JERSEY
After a successful career as an Information Technology executive, Anna is now concentrating on progressive issues, such as women’s reproductive rights and the protection of the environment. Anna is also a volunteer at Planned Parenthood.
DR. RITA SERGONIS – PEDIATRICIAN
Rita has 12 years of experience caring for hospitalized patients that range from newborn to adolescents. She is passionate about putting patients first and ensuring timely, evidence-based, equitable care for all. She has seen vulnerable adolescent populations struggle with the news of finding out they are pregnant, and would like to share some of these stories, because abortion IS healthcare, and access to this service is vital for pediatric patients.
Rita currently works at Bryn Mawr Hospital as the medical director for pediatric hospital medicine. She was formerly a member of the complex care team, medical behavioral unit, and both general pediatric and subspecialty care hospitalist teams at CHOP. She completed her medical training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis.
