Mount Olive Township is partnering with Raritan Headwaters Association, Rutgers Water Resources Program, and other groups to implement a plan to improve the water quality in Budd Lake by addressing storm water management. Our goal is to inform the community how to best capture storm water runoff before it enters the lake. By implementing green infrastructure methods such as rain gardens, bio-swales and rain barrels, a significant amount of pollutants and contamination will be diverted from entering our waterways. This will ensure the health and safety of all who wish to enjoy the natural beauty of Budd Lake, which is the headwaters of the South Branch Raritan River. We hope you will join us to learn more about this project and how you can participate!
