Mount Olive Democrats Condemn the Violent, Treasonous and Racist Acts of the President and his supporters and Call for Justice

We are horrified and heartsick over those who executed an armed insurrection and disrupted our democratic process.  
As stated by Senator Cory Booker, we stand against those “who are choosing Trump over truth, who are surrendering to the passion of lies as opposed to standing up and speaking truth to power.”  
We reject those who support hateful actions against others and our country. We stand for democracy, the rule of law, tolerance and inclusion; and cooperation over conflict.
As we look forward to the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and the aggressive plans to restore our nation’s health and economy, we must hold all those responsible for these unconscionable acts accountable to the fullest extent. And, build a just society and a land that provides opportunity for us all.
